Originally from Chicago but currently residing in Arizona, Justin Roberts has been very fortunate.
A lifelong wrestling fan, Roberts always liked entertaining people, and began working smaller wrestling circuits at 16. This lead to a real appreciation of the business, and helped him to become comfortable in front of both smaller and larger audiences.
While attending college, the University of Arizona alumnus began applying to WWE, sending in videotapes and resumes. "After graduating I earned a couple of tryouts prior to Raw and SmackDown back in June 2002. Following that, I would fill in periodically on SmackDown and once in a while on Raw,” he said. “In 2004 I started full-time with the company. I did the ECW television events on Tuesday nights, and the live events for Raw on the weekends." Now Roberts ring announces full time for SmackDown.
Roberts is realizing the dream he had as a young child growing up in Chicago.
“As a life-long fan, it’s just awesome to be living the dream every time I come to work.”
